Located 20km from Saint-Jean-de-Luz, 10km from the "train de la Rhune", the Caves of Sare are at the heart of a remarkable natural and historic territory, in the Basque village of Sare classified among "the most beautiful villages of France”.

The visit of the caves of Sare includes 1 hour of sound and light guided tour on a secure path. Geology, Prehistory, Mythology and Origins of the Basque People are the themes addressed throughout this visit.
A free-access megalithic park and site museum complete the visit.

HOW TO RESERVE YOUR ENTRANCES ?

► Consult the visit calendar: choose the day, time and number of places you want and buy your tickets online. You will then receive one e-ticket per person.
► Print your e-ticket or save it to your smartphone/tablet.
► The day of your visit: Present yourself at the cave reception desk with your e-ticket, 20 minutes before the departure of your visit (during opening hours).

NOTICE / USEFUL INFORMATION :

• Tickets can not be modified or refunded.
• For security reasons, a visit starts with a minimum of 2 people.
• Anticipate traffic during the rainy days during the summer.
• Bring warm clothes because the interior of the cave remains cool (about 14°).
• The Megalithic Park and Site Museum close at the same time as the departure of the last visit of the day.
• Animals, strollers, video and photo taking are not allowed within the cave.
• If you could not book a visit in your language, you can download a free audioguide on your smartphone. Remember to bring your headphones !

SERVICES :

• 3 parkings are available for cars and motorhomes and buses.
• On site, you will find a bar/café area, restauration (only in summer) and a gift shop.
• There are picnic tables at your disposal on the site of the caves of Sare.
• Some hiking trails start or pass by the Caves of Sare.
